My parents think I’m special now. My father used to say that I should work at home and leave studying to my brother. But since you’ve come to our schools and given us books and uniforms and started calling us Nanhi Kalis, we feel special. I’m trying to do my best at class and whenever I recite poems and read out stories to my parents they smile say "good, make us proud."
