The Mahindra Foundation, UK is a registered charity that has chosen to support the education of under-privileged girls in India through Project Nanhi Kali and is jointly managed by the K. C. Mahindra Education Trust and Naandi Foundation in India.

Project 'Nanhi Kali' (meaning little bud in our national language, Hindi) has been working on empowering girls through education for the past 18 years and currently reaches out to almost 100,000 girls from underprivileged communities in 9 states across India. The project ensures access to quality education by providing academic support, material support like books, shoes, uniforms and stationery, and social support that sensitises parents and the community on gender equality and the importance of education.
